About Maria Holly Barraza
A mother, public servant, and advocate for integrity, transparency, and accountability in Orange County public records.

Her story
Rooted in family. Grounded in service.
Maria Holly Barraza is running for Orange County Clerk-Recorder because she brings real experience in public service, records management, and election operations, where accuracy, accountability, and integrity matter.
She is a proud Latina, a mother of two, and the daughter of immigrant parents with family roots in Guerrero, Veracruz, Cuernavaca, and Guadalajara, Mexico.
Her father served as a police officer before immigrating to the United States, and her grandfather served in the Mexican military before coming to this country to work in the fields and build a better future through sacrifice and hard work.
Maria's mother, despite limited formal education and language barriers, worked tirelessly and demonstrated resilience, strength, and determination, values that inspired Maria's lifelong commitment to public service.
Helping guide her mother through the journey to become a United States citizen deepened Maria's understanding of service, civic responsibility, and the importance of making government accessible to all.
Today, Maria is committed to protecting public records, ensuring election integrity, and serving Orange County families with transparency, precision, and accountability.
